2018 Summer Camp

This year’s camp was held on the Nelsonville Square with the help of partners like Rutter Rentals, Paper Circle, The Presbyterian Church, and Majestic Galleries.

Seven leadership interns also experienced year round programming and were a part of the Circle summer staff and received stipends.

// Visual Arts Classes //

Photography: students utilized the Hockney technique to create photo collages!

Cardboard Creations: youth combined cardboard, drawing and painting to make self-portraits.

Stagecraft: using a variety of recycled materials, students made costumes and stage elements for the theater performance.

Raku Ceramics: spirit animals!

Students wrote and performed their own plays, learning to script, act, and develop confidence performing on a stage!


// Afternoon Activities //

Field trips were taken to the movies, rollerskating, Lake Snowden Water Park, Cosi and The Zoo.

// Final Performance and Gallery exhibit //

Students created a play that was performed at The First Presbyterian Church. The artwork was displayed at an exhibit at Majestic Gallery on July 27.
